She stated that the victim had put his hands on her. The suspect was all over the place and couldn’t stay consistent on what happened this night. The suspect also had the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person, her eyes were glassy and bloodshot, and she was slurring her words. Based on my training and experience, these are signs of someone being under the influence of alcohol. The suspect explained that the victim struck her on her right ear with his right hand, utilizing a closed fist. The suspect stated that they were then laying in the bed and the victim sporadically jumped up and began to slam her against the ground and pinned her on the ground. The suspect stated she fought back and even pulled a knife on him. She was unable to explain when she grabbed the knife but stated “it was for protection”. The suspect stated she had several bruises on her body. She showed me several of these marks that all appeared to be old and nearly healed. The suspect stated the marks she showed me were all from prior incidents and that she doesn’t bruise easy so no marks will show on her.I spoke to the victim and he stated the suspect was drinking heavily and even finished a large bottle of white wine on her own. The victim stated the suspects attitude completely changed and she began to scold him about how he was cheating on her with other women. The victim stated that she then went into the kitchen and retrieved a knife. The victim stated she came out of the kitchen, flipping the knife in her hand, and stated that him and the other women were about to “find out”. The victim stated the suspect then grabbed a Glock 17 (serial# YYZ471, 9mm), walked outside the house and randomly discharged a round. The victim stated he had a video of that incident. The victim stated the suspect then returned inside and placed the gun down and attacked him by striking and throwing things at him. The victim stated he was struck in the head by an object which was causing him to bleed on the back of his head. The suspect showed me a scratch, that appeared to be fresh, going across his chest. He then showed me the back of his head where he had a clear lump and was bleeding from. I then noticed the left side of the victim’s cheek was red and he stated that he was struck there too.I watched the video and on it the suspect walks outside of the house holding the firearm in her right hand. She points it in a direction that appears to be toward the roadway, and discharges a round. The suspect then walks back inside the residence. The distance from where the gun was discharged to the roadway is approximately 32 yards. I located the shell from that round next to the stare case that led to the front door, near where the suspect fired the gun. I ceased the firearm for evidentiary purposes.I approached the suspect again and read her miranda rights. The suspect stated she understood them. I asked the suspect if she wished to talk to me without legal representation present and she refused to answer. Due to her refusing to answer, I took that as she did not want to speak with me without legal representation and all questioning was immediately ceased. I placed the suspect into custody with her hands behind her back. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Walker County Detention Center.[End of Narrative].
