I arrived and recognized the two listed offenders,Emily Wheelerand Samantha Berry. I exited my vehicle and was met by screaming and yelling from both Wheeler and Berry. I separated them and I spoke with Berry.Berry stated she was trying to stay away from her sister and when she arrived at the laundromat, Wheeler was there. Berry stated she was trying to get into the laundromat and Wheeler would not let her in. Berry stated that Wheeler opened the door and struck her in the face. Berry stated her eye was swollen. I looked and could not see any redness or swelling. I tried to continue to speak with Berry, But Wheeler continued to scream and yell and ultimately cause a disturbance to the surrounding area. I went and spoke to Wheeler after this.I asked Wheeler what was going on. Wheeler stated she was there to do laundry. Wheeler stated Berry approached her and they began to argue. Wheeler stated it never became physical but did say she they were both yelling at each other. Wheeler stated she was trying to separate herself from Berry, but Berry continued to press the issue. I told Wheeler to standby while I spoke to a witness.I spoke with the caller, [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated she was there to do laundry. [WITNESS #1] stated she was on the phone when Berry and Wheeler began yelling. [WITNESS #1] stated she never observed the altercation get physical. [WITNESS #1] did say the yelling was loud and causing a disturbance within the laundromat. I asked [WITNESS #1] to complete and signed a witness statement. She did. I will attach it to the report. I walked back to Wheeler.I informed Wheeler she was under arrest. I handcuffed Wheeler in the front and checked the cuffs for fit. I double locked the cuffs. I placed Wheeler in my patrol car. I walked over to Berry. I informed Berry she was under arrest. I cuffed Berry in the front. I checked the cuffs for fit and double locked them. I asked Ptl. McDaniel to transport her to the Walker County jail. I transported Wheeler to the jail and she and Berry were turned over to the staff without issue.I issued both Berry and Wheeler city accusations for 15-4 Disorderly Conduct. 117000814 for Berry and 117000815 for Wheeler.
