Being familiar with the caller / suspect from an incident on 12/15/2024where a TPO was served and DFCS was on scene, I ed Walker County 911 to obtain further information about the call. The 911 call taker stated the suspect called in and said her children had been kidnapped and needed to make a report due to DFCS trespassing on her property and taking the children without her permission. When she was asked when the children were taken, she said “this morning”. The caller also began speaking of other issues she had previously reported and was directed by the dispatcher to the Sheriff’s Office, however, she remained adamant that she needed to speak with a deputy. The suspect was fully aware that her children had been removed from the residence around 18:45 hours on 12/15/2024and placed in the custody of her mother. The reason given for the children being removed from the residence was due to domestic violence and suspected drug use. Deputy Warrick 6 responded to that call to stand by with DFCS while they awaited the arrival of the suspect’s mother. Also on 12/15/24, I responded with court services Deputies Mullis and Thompson while they served a TPO on the listed other based on the statements made by the suspect that the other had struck her. The suspect sent a photo to a neighbor prior to serving the TPO stating she was being held against her will and the listed other would not let her out of the vehicle she was riding in. The neighbor called 911 and a lookout was issued for the vehicle. The court services deputies were waiting at the residence to serve the TPO when the suspect and other arrived , and when asked about being held against her will, the suspect denied it. She stated she and the other had gone to lookout MTN together to pick up some cabinets and had gotten into a verbal argument. She also stated she sent the photo and message to the neighbor knowing she would call 911 for her. After serving the TPO, the other was allowed to take a desktop computer, a gaming chair, and air mattress from the residence. He asked numerous times for his wallet which was supposed to be in the suspect’s possession or vehicle and it was not found. The other left the residence with his father and had no money or any other possessions other than the clothing he was wearing and his cell phone. The suspect attempted to file a report on this date stating the other had stolen $200.00 from her vehicle just before he left with his father, and the other had not had access to the vehicle while court services deputies and I were on scene. On this date, the suspect admitted to Deputy Doyle that she had called 911 and stated her children had been kidnapped. She then began arguing that DFCS did not have her permission to be on her property and that she did not consent to any contract with them. Deputy Warrick advised me that he had been on the scene and witnessed the suspect sign over custody of her children to DFCS to be placed in the care of her mother.Considering the numerous calls to 911 to report similar if not the same incidents since 12/6/2024, the suspect was placed under arrest for the listed charges and transported to the Walker County Jail.[End of Narrative].
