The victim stated her grandson and his girlfriend, listed suspects Charles Richardson and Alexandria Smith, live with her and believe one of them took the debit card from her purse.I was provided bank documentation which showed several charges starting around January 23, 2025through February 5, 2025. The victim was only able to know her card had been used was when it declined at the grocery store. While looking over the documents I observed several transactions where the victims card was used to deposit $100 two separate times into Alexandria Smith’s chime account.The victim went to the bank of Lafayette who helped her start the fraud investigation on their end, but required a police report to move forward.I provided the victim with the case number, a financial crimes packet, and victims bill of rights information. I also explained to the victim the eviction process. The victim does wish to pursue charges in this incident once the investigation reveals who actually took the money from her account.While gathering information for this report it was discovered the listed suspect Charles Richardson has an active felony warrant for burglary.[End of Narrative][NARRATIVE on February 06, 2025]I executed two warrant’s on the suspect. The suspect was handcuffed in the front, double locked and checked for proper fit. The suspect was ed prior to placing her into my vehicle and no contraband was found. I transported the suspect from the intersection of E. Broomtown Rd. & r Cagle Rd. Lafayette, Ga. To the walker Co. Jail without incident. I ed the rear passenger area of my vehicle prior to and after the transport and no contraband was found.[End of Narrative]. I was dispatched to a fraud report in the lobby of the Walker County Sheriffs office.
