Discretion is advised.]On Monday, May 12th 2025 at approximaly 1415 hours, SERGEANT SHELLEY with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol/SRO Division responded to 7340 Fairmount Hwy., Calhoun, Georgia, Gordon County in reference to a Child Abuse report.Upon arrival, SERGEANT SHELLEY spoke the complainant/counselor, [WITNESS #1], in her office. MRS. [WITNESS #1] stated that the victim, JUVENILE [VICTIM #1], told her that bruising and a scare on her leg that was caused by the mother, MRS. SIMPSON.SERGEANT SHELLEY also spoke the JUVENILE [VICTIM #1]. JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that it all started because she had on a shirt that MRS. SIMPSON did not like. JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that she took the shirt off and stuck it in her pant pocket and put on a different one and then MRS. SIMPSON stated yanking her around the room by her pant pocket. JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that she thinks that is when the brusing and the injury to her leg occurred.JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that if MRS. SIMPSON is not at when she gets from school,that she has to stay in the shed until she does get because MRS. SIMPSON will not give a key.JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that two girls that play on the basketball team that MRS. SIMPSON coaches jumped her out in the shed. JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that after the girls finished hitting and kicking her, she got up and ran to door on the porch. JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] stated that she could not get in and when the two girls caught up to her, that started to beat on her again while she was down on the porch.A video was shown to SERGEANT SHELLEY right before he walked out of the school to do traffic duty, by MRS. [WITNESS #1]. The video was a better description of the situation that JUVENILE [VICTIM #1] had described.SERGEANT SHELLEY gave MRS. [WITNESS #1] his email address for her to send the video but never received. SERGEANT SHELLEY was notified later that detectives had received the video.[End of Narrative].
