Discretion is advised.]On January 19th, 2024at approximately 2337 hours, I responded in emergency mode to [700 BLOCK] E Broad St Apt [REDACTED], which is located within the City of Griffin Spalding County Georgia, to a report of a Stabbing.Upon my arrival I Ofc. Webster made with a Mr. [VICTIM ] who stated his wife had stabbed him. Mr. [VICTIM ] stated Ms. Chanda Norris had been acting crazy all day while they were out at Walmart and at Verizon. Mr. [VICTIM ] then stated while sitting down his wife flew off the handle and grabbed a knife out of the drawer, walked up and stabbed the hell out of him. I Ofc. Webster was able to see blood covering Mr. [VICTIM ] stomach and a large blood stain on Mr. [VICTIM ] shirt by his upper chest. Mr. [VICTIM ] was advised to keep pressure on his wound.Mr. [VICTIM ] identified the knife he was stabbed with by stating there it go right there, right by the bottle. Mr. [VICTIM ] pointed at the far end of the kitchen table where an approximately 6 inch in length or larger kitchen knife with a serrated blade and black handle was laying. This knife was located within arm’s reach of Ms. Chanda who was sitting at the kitchen table. I Ofc. Webster observed bright red in color blood on the bladed end of the knife.Upon speaking with Ms. Chanda, Ms. Chanda stated I stabbed him with this right here while holding a white in color plastic knife. I Ofc. Webster did not observe any blood on the plastic knife.Ms. Chanda stated the knife Mr. [VICTIM ] pointed out was what she used to eat her steak with last night.On Shift crime scene Ofc. Shivers was called to the scene to photograph the injuries Mr. [VICTIM ] sustained and the knife involved in the incident.The knife was collected by Ptl. Shivers and he will enter it into evidence.Mr. [VICTIM ] was treated by EMS on scene and transported to Grady hospital for the injuries he sustained.Upon asking why Ms. Chanda stabbed Mr. [VICTIM ] instead of calling 911, she stated Mr. [VICTIM ] threatened to kill her stating Btch imma kill your motherfuking a*s and went to the back to get his gun. Ms. Chanda stated she “Got Mr. [VICTIM ] before he could get her.” I Ofc. Webster did not observe any firearms in the nearby kitchen area where the incident occurred.Ms. Chanda was advised she was under arrest. I Ofc. Webster ed Ms. Chanda for weapons and contraband before placing her in the back seat of my patrol car, which was checked at the beginning and end of my shift, and before and after transport to the Spalding County Jail, where she was turned over to the jail staff.Warrants will be obtained on Ms. Chanda Norris for the offence of Aggravated Assault FV and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.[End of Narrative].
