Ms. Walton stated that upon her arrival, she and Mr. [VICTIM #1] began to have a verbal altercation. Ms. Walton stated that due to the altercation, Mr. [VICTIM #1] exited the vehicle and began to walk alongside her vehicle, continuing the verbal altercation. Ms. Walton stated that’s when Mr. [VICTIM #1] smashed her windshield with an unknown object. Ms. Walton stated that out of fear, she pressed the accelerator of her vehicle in an attempt to get away from Mr. [VICTIM #1], accidentally striking Mr. [VICTIM #1] with the vehicle. Ms. Walton stated that she then exited the vehicle in an attempt to help Mr. [VICTIM #1].During the investigation, video footage of the incident was captured by security cameras at [3200 BLOCK] Denton Dr. While viewing the footage, I observed Ms. Walton stopped on Denton Dr at Balkcom Dr in her gray Jeep while Mr. [VICTIM #1] was walking on Balkcom Dr towards Denton Dr. Once Mr. [VICTIM #1] approached Ms. Walton, who was still stopped, the two appeared to exchange words before Mr. [VICTIM #1] walked to the passenger side of the vehicle and smashed the windshield of Ms. Walton’s vehicle. Ms. Walton then proceeded to turn her wheel towards Mr. [VICTIM #1] and intentionally struck Mr. [VICTIM #1] with her vehicle.Mr. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Doctor’s hospital with serious injuries.Investigator’s Monga and Brown arrived on scene to take over the investigation.Ms. Walton was transported to 400 Walton way for questioning.[End of Narrative].
