Discretion is advised.]On May 18, 2025, at 1806 hours, I, Deputy Nicholas Toskin (434), responded to [1200 BLOCK] Alden Drive regarding a disturbance at [1700 BLOCK] Tamarind Way.Upon arrival, I met with WITNESS #1, who stated that her daughter, WITNESS #2, and son, REDACTED BY AGENCY, went to the area of [1700 BLOCK] Tamarind Way because [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left his book bag near a bush on the street. [WITNESS #1] stated that she received a call from [WITNESS #2] saying that a man had grabbed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and thrown him into a pool and tried to drown [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [WITNESS #1] was also told that the man threatened to cut [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s hands off with a machete. [WITNESS #1] stated that she told them to leave and come .[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that around 1730 hours, the man called him over from the street, grabbed him by the front of his shirt with both hands, and started shacking him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that while doing that, he was hitting him in the chest and his chin with his fist. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the man then took a machete he had and was hitting him on the chest, along with threatening to cut both his hands off. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the man grabbed him, made him go to the backyard, and threw him into the pool. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the man jumped into the pool, grabbed hold of him, and started to throw him around and push his head under the water.[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said the man was holding his head under the water, and when he was able to get above the water, he wasn’t able to get much air and was swallowing water. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that when the man stopped, he told the man he had lost his glasses, and the man told him to find them. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he told the man he couldn’t see and asked if he had goggles to be able to look under the water for them, but he wasn’t given anything to help him look. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he got out of the pool and went to the front yard, and he told [WITNESS #2] what had happened. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that is when they said to their mom, [WITNESS #1], what happened and left.[WITNESS #2] stated that she saw [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the man speaking with each other, but she didn’t know what was being said and saw the man ruff him up. [WITNESS #2] stated that she was talking to the man’s wife, and she told her that he wasn’t going to hurt [REDACTED BY AGENCY]; he was only trying to scare him. [WITNESS #2] stated that the man’s wife showed her a video of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on their property walking around their cars in the early morning hours. [WITNESS #2] stated that she told her that she needed to send that video to her mom, [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #2] stated that she saw [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the man going towards the back yard, but didn’t think anything of it, and the man’s wife told her they were going back there to look for the book bag. [WITNESS #2] said that she was talking with her mom, [WITNESS #1], on the phone when she saw [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the man coming from behind, both wet. [WITNESS #2] stated that [WITNESS #1] told her to leave, and they both left. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated at that time that the man’s wife watched him try to drown him and did nothing about it.I relocated to [1700 BLOCK] Tamarind Way and met with Hector Gonzalez Jr. (Suspect). Hector stated that he had left to go somewhere and received a call from a neighbor saying some kid was looking around one of his vehicles on his property. Hector stated that he was not far from , so he turned around and was able to identify that the kid was his next-door neighbor’s child from [1700 BLOCK] Tamarind Way. Hector stated that the neighbor’s kid told him he was looking for his friend’s ([REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s) mask, which he left behind Hector’s car last night. Hector looked at his security video and saw the unknown male walking around in front of his house on the street and his yard. Hector asked his neighbor to call his friends and have him come there, he wanted to talk with him.Hector stated that he only wanted to scare the kid into not wanting to come onto his property. When [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [WITNESS #2] arrived, Hector called [REDACTED BY AGENCY] over and asked him why he was on his property and messing with his vehicle. Hector stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told him he didn’t do anything to his property. Hector stated that he spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] about making bad decisions and changing his ways to better himself. Hector stated that [WITNESS #2] told him that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has several cases in which he is already in trouble with the law. Hector stated that he told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that if you wanted to walk around on his property, he would show him around. Hector stated that while in the backyard, he pushed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into the pool. Hector stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] lost his glasses and was having a hard time trying to see them because they were clear frames. Hector stated that he jumped into the pool, pulled [REDACTED BY AGENCY] out, and told him that once the water stopped moving, he would get the glasses out and get them to him.Hector stated that they went back to the front yard, and he told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to apologize to his sister, [WITNESS #2], and his mom for his actions toward them.
