[VICIM ] was still breathing but not conscious at this time. [VICIM ] was transported to AUMC by Central EMS Med 13.While on scene, I observed money all over the floor, empty cash register, and bullet had been found. I met with WITNESS who stated that when she came into the store, she found [VICIM ] lying on the floor and she called the police. [WITNESS ] stated that she does not know who shot [VICIM ].Inv Gun responded to the scene and the scene was turned over to him.Prior to this call, I was conducting an area check at 2303 Lumpkin Rd (Lumpkin Vape / 25-006120) due to the recent break-in’s at vape stores.Upon arrival, I observed an employee behind the counter but did give not much attention to his description. The store was empty of customers that I could see when arrived. Due to this, I sat in my patrol car in front of the store for several minutes prior to leaving. While I was on scene, I did observe one customer enter and leave the store. The customer was a black male wearing a black jacket and grey sweatpants. The customer was observed walking towards Peach Orchard Rd on the sidewalk as I headed to my next stop. No gun shots were observed while I was on scene.[End of Narrative].
