On August 12, 2024
, at approximately 0024 hours, I responded to [200 BLOCK] McClure Trl, Dallas, GA 30132 in reference to a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, Deputies encountered a male in the front yard slamming a bicycle on the ground and yelling. We made our presence known and the male attempted to run inside the house but stopped just in the doorway. I gave the male subject, later identified as Nathaniel Miller, verbal commands to come down stairs. Mr. Miller complied and was detained due to his aggressive behavior. Mr. Miller was handcuffed behind his back and the cuff’s were double-locked and checked for proper fit. I could see visible marks on Mr. Miller’s neck and asked him how did he get those marks. He said he didn’t know but he may have caused them to himself. Mr. Miller declined medical treatment on scene
I then made with the complainant, [VICTIM ], who stated that she and Mr. Miller were having an argument over money. Mr. Miller had been drinking and he left in his vehicle. He then came back and was being verbally aggressive with her. At first he was screaming and acting like he might hurt her by getting in her face and raising his hands. She tried to lock herself in a bedroom but he busted the door in and damaging the door knob and wall of the bedroom. She kept asking him to leave her alone or she would call the police and Mr. Miller grabbed her by the throat, strangling her and she said she felt like she couldn’t breathe. She stated she was grabbing him by the throat in an attempt to free herself. Mr. Miller also knocked her to the floor when she started to dial 9-1-1.
