Prior to my arrival, Dispatch advised the male complainant, later identified as Andrew Robinson, stated we needed to come lock him up because he had hurt his wife.Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim, [VICTIM #1]. When I first made contact with [VICTIM #1], she appeared to be very upset and crying. I immediately noticed red markings on both left and right upper arms, her chest, and her neck area. As [VICTIM #1] was giving her side of the story, she was constantly crying from being upset.[VICTIM #1] then stated the following happened; she stated her husband, Andrew Robinson, who has PTSD and is a heavy drinker, was outside and she heard him cussing. She stated she went to check on him, and he began screaming and cussing at her. She stated she attempted to walk into the residence, and that was when Andrew grabbed her by both of her arms and began pushing and shoving her against the walls. She then stated while holding her by the arms, Andrew threw her on the bed and then used one hand to grab her by the throat and began squeezing. [VICTIM #1] stated she could not breathe for a few seconds during this. She then stated she was able to get off the bed, and Andrew threw her on the floor and pinned her to the floor and was not allowing her to leave.At this time, I was able to take photographs of the red markings on [VICTIM #1]’s arm, chest, and neck. I then noticed the tank top she was wearing had been torn from the altercation. I then noticed a large purple bruising mark on [VICTIM #1]’s left arm, which had gotten darker as we stood there gathering information.After gathering all the information I needed, [VICTIM #1] stated Andrew had left in his Jeep Wrangler. I then noticed tire tracks in the dew on the grass going around the residence. I began following the tracks and located the Jeep beside a building on the property. I attempted to make contact with Andrew by knocking on the building door, but no contact was made. I also attempted to call Andrew on his cell phone number, which was provided to Dispatch when he called 911. No contact was made with Andrew.Due to the evidence I was able to gather, I returned to the Sheriff’s Office and secured warrants for the following charges: Aggravated Assault by Strangulation, False Imprisonment, and Battery.
