On October 23, 2024
at about 0740 hours I responded to 4200 Salem Road for a person shooting at another person in the parking lot. The caller stated he saw one male shoot at anther and was watching them both. He stated one male ran into the store and the other got into a white BMW car. The BMW car was located by Sgt. Dickerson 134 and he stopped the vehicle at the Publix on Brown Bridge Road. I arrived and assisted him with a felony traffic stop.
After the driver was handcuffed and placed into Deputy D. Bullock’s 247 patrol. I was told the firearm was in the front seat of the driver’s seat. I looked and it was between the center console and the driver’s front seat. I took the firearm and dropped the magazine. There was a live round in the chamber. I took it out and placed it in the magazine so it would not be lost. The evidence was released to Inv. G. Dial 250. Lt. Waterson 72 was called to the scene and it was released to him.
