On April 03, 2024
, I was dispatched to the area of Highway 225 South and Springplace Resaca Rd. in reference to a vehicle that had left the roadway and went into the ditch. I arrived and spoke with a witness who stated that when he stopped there was a female walking on the shoulder of the roadway in and out of traffic. The witness said the female then went down Springplace Smyrna Rd. where a green Chevrolet S-10 (Ga tag [REDACTED]) stopped and picked the female up.
I looked inside of the vehicle and noticed some cards in the cup holder that looked to be identifying cards. In the cup holder was a Georgia ID card that belonged to Taylor Garcia, as well as a SS card, and a Georgia EBT card with her name on it as well. There were women’s clothing in the passenger floorboard and a lunchbox that was unzipped. Inside of the lunchbox there was a prescription bottle with Taylor Garcia on the label. There was also a half consumed White Claw in the cupholder as well as an unopened one in the passenger floorboard.
After the vehicle was removed by Flood’s Wrecker Service I went to the address listed on the registration which was [200 BLOCK] Grand Prix Blvd. This was no longer the residence of the registered owner of the car. I checked two other addresses but neither the registered owner or Garcia lived there anymore. Based off the witness stating that a female was around the car, the 3 forms of identification, woman’s clothing, the pill bottle and Garcia’s address matched the registered owners former address I will be taking charges on Garcia.
