On September 1st, 2024
at approximately 0235 hours, I Deputy Smith was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Kingdom Hall Rd in reference to a fight. While en-route, Chatsworth PD assisted and arrived before me. They called foot chase and caught Brandon Kirby. I arrived and placed Brandon in the backseat of my patrol car. I asked Brandon why he ran and he stated he didn’t want to go to jail. I transported Brandon back to the residence where I spoke with the other parties. I spoke with [VICTIM ] and he stated his brother was off his medication and been acting up all day. [VICTIM ] asked his brother to go outside and Brandon punched [VICTIM ]. They began to fight in the front yard and when we arrived Brandon ran from Law Enforcement.
I placed Brandon under arrest for disorderly conduct and obstruction and transported him to the Murray County Detention center where I issued his citations and turned him over to detention staff. I went back in service.
