Discretion is advised.]On Saturday, November 16, 2024at approximately 23:07, 1, Deputy Cox, along with Sgt Leggett, was dispatched to [3800 BLOCK] GA Highway 42 South Forsyth, GA 31029 in reference to an unknown complaint.Upon arrival, I observed a female and male sitting on the ground near a black in color Chevrolet Colorado wrecked into a tree. The female subject, later on identified as [VICTIM ], was screaming in pain and stating her left arm was broken, to which I observed her holding it unable to move it. The male subject, later on identified as Jeffrey Abercrombie, was crouched down near her to comfort her. Abercrombie did not complain of any injuries at this time.EMS arrived on scene to observe [VICTIM ], to which there was purple and blue bruising and a knot on her arm. EMS stated her arm was broken and they would transport her to Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, GA.As EMS was taking [VICTIM ] to the ambulance on a stretcher, I asked Abercrombie what occurred during the time of the accident. He stated that he and [VICTIM ] got into a verbal argument, due to him speaking to an old female friend at the Moose Lodge. At this time, I asked Abercrombie if he was drinking at the Moose Lodge, to which he replied yes. I then asked Abercrombie was he the one driving the vehicle at the time of the wreck, to which he replied yes. Sgt Leggett and I also observed 8 open Natural Light beer cans in the backseat of Abercrombie’s vehicle, along with 1 open one near the vehicle.At this time, Sgt Leggett performed the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN). Abercrombie stated he would not be able to perform any walking tests, due to him having a metal rod in his leg. Sgt Leggett read the Georgia Implied Consent Notice for suspects age 21 or older and asked Abercrombie if he would conduct a breath test, to which Abercrombie replied no. Sgt Leggett read the Georgia Implied Consent Notice and asked Abercrombie if he would submit a blood test, to which Abercrombie implied no. Sgt Leggett asked Abercrombie on a scale of 1 to 10 how intoxicated he felt, Abercrombie stated 3.At this time, Jeffrey Abercrombie was placed under arrest. The cuffs were double locked and checked for fit.
