Fife was dispatched to 8964 Highway 29 South (Family Dollar) in Hull, Georgia, in regards to an aggravated assault and criminal trespass that had occurred at approximately 1029 hours.Upon arrival, I made with [VICTIM ] (Victim of Aggravated Assault) who stated an unknown black male entered the store without a shirt on. He then proceeded to the apparel aisle and burned the security tag off of a gray Captain America shirt, presumably in order to shoplift the item. WITNESS observed the incident as it happened and proceeded to tell [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] said she made with the male and dialed 911. While on the phone with 911, the male exited the store and [VICTIM ] followed. [VICTIM ] stated she went behind the car and read the plate off to the 911 dispatcher. During this time she said she was almost struck by the vehicle. The vehicle quickly accelerated backwards in an attempt to run her over. The vehicle then quickly accelerated forward and ran over the parking space parking stop and then onto the sidewalk. The vehicle then fled from the scene.[VICTIM ] showed me the shirt the male had burned the security tag off of. The shirt had burn marks and holes around the area where the security tag had been. [VICTIM ] accessed the security camera system to show Cpl. Hunt and I the unknown male. While reviewing the camera footage, I observed an unknown black male with no shirt, wearing black/blue pants, enter the store at 1029 hours. There was no camera on the apparel aisle and the camera system did not capture the burning of the shirt. The camera system did capture the unknown male exiting the store at 1035 hours with [VICTIM ] following. The camera system did not capture the aggravated assault that occurred in the parking lot. I did observe a black in color vehicle exiting the parking lot matching the description given by [VICTIM ].I took still photographs of the shirt, vehicle, and of the unknown male using the Axon Capture application on my cellphone and uploaded them to evidence.com.This case is active and the victim does want to prosecute.[End of Narrative]. On 7/3/2024
I Deputy J. Fife was dispatched to 8964 Highway 29 South (Family Dollar) in Hull, Georgia, in regards to an aggravated assault and criminal trespass that had occurred at approximately 1029 hours.
Upon arrival, I made with [VICTIM ] (Victim of Aggravated Assault) who stated an unknown black male entered the store without a shirt on. This case is active and the victim does want to prosecute.
