Discretion is advised.]On Sunday December 1st 2024at 1855 hours I, Deputy Betts (662) was dispatched to [7500 BLOCK] Highway 98 West in reference to a complainant reporting their mother had sent them a message that requested Law Enforcement. It was stated an inebriated family member was on scene and dispatch notified us there was extensive mental issues with the individual.Upon my arrival, I approached the front of the residence. Prior to making with the inhabitants, I was able to hear that a male was talking loudly. I was able to look inside a side window where I saw a male, later identified as VICTIM , sitting in a chair. I then knocked on the door, where I then made with Timothy Trammell (offender). I asked him multiple times if everything was going alright to which he said yes multiple times. I immediately noted that he was swaying, his speech was slowed and slurred, there was a deer in headlights look on his face and his mannerisms were abnormal. A smell most commonly associated with alcohol was coming from Timothy. Timothy then decided to sit outside. I then made with [VICTIM ] who came outside. I asked [VICTIM ] if everything was alright to which she stated yes. I picked up that [VICTIM ] wouldn’t give me eye nor did she appear to be confident. The first thing that Timothy stated to [VICTIM ] was why she called them (Law Enforcement). At this point it time, I determined that there was a form of intimidation occurring and separated the two. Timothy listen to my request to step inside whilst I spoke with [VICTIM ].[VICTIM ] then informed me that Timothy was having a mental/emotional episode that was being exacerbated by alcohol abuse. She informed me that Timothy had been threatening them. [VICTIM ] informed me that they had locked up their guns but Timothy had gotten a ‘Butchers Knife’. I then observed [VICTIM ] present himself at the doorway where I had him come outside. [VICTIM ] informed me that Timothy suffers from Bi-Polar disorder, schizophrenia and is an alcoholic. She informed me that he has been admitted into a psychiatric facility in Augusta and has an extensive history with Advantage Behavioral Health. Timothy, their grandchild, had been living with them a lot since he was 4 years old. On this night, he had gotten off of work when he spent all his money on alcohol. He came back drunk and began being aggressive and acting crazy. [VICTIM ] informed me that he has gotten worse and he constantly harasses them. One of the reasons he was angry tonight was because they refused to give Timothy a firearm.Timothy then came back outside where I could tell he had the intention to interject over [VICTIM ]. I attempted to stop him from speaking, to him saying ‘Fuk You’. I then had to reason with Timothy for him to go back into the house. [VICTIM ] proceeded to tell me that Timothy had threatened to stab them with a knife from the kitchen, the same knife she mentioned before. I asked [VICTIM ] if that had happened to which [VICTIM ] said yes. He had been standing before them as he made this comment, before he retreated into his bedroom with the knife. I asked [VICTIM ] if the reason she didn’t call 911 was because she felt that he would hurt them, she responded yes. Timothy then proceeded to come back outside and started a cussing rant. Timothy wanted me to talk to his dog and requested I take him back to his military base. Timothy at one point made a finger gun, put it under his chin and pulled the trigger, and then blew air out of his mouth as if he shot himself. Timothy said in regards to his grandparents, ‘fuk them’ multiple times. Cpl Hunt arrived at this point and I requested Timothy talk to him.[End of Narrative].
