Discretion is advised.]On 01/08/2025at approximately 1418, I arrived at [1000 BLOCK] Thomas Heights in Madison County in reference to an active physical domestic dispute. Upon my arrival, I observed that [VICTIM ]’s face and lower arms where covered in blood. EMS was requested to evaluate [VICTIM ] due to her injuries from the altercation.[VICTIM ] reported that her and her mother, [WITNESS ], were at the above residence to retrieve items. [VICTIM ] parked her vehicle outside of the garage attached to the residence. [VICTIM ] reported the garage door opened and her sister, Natalie Barnett, drove a vehicle from the garage striking [VICTIM ]. Natalie then exited the vehicle. As Natalie exited the vehicle, the vehicle rolled forward striking a tree. It is notable that there was significant damage to the vehicle as a result, it appears the vehicle was accelerated prior to striking the tree. Furthermore, there were tire tracks in the garage that indicated the vehicle was steered to the left, the same area [VICTIM ] reported to be as the door opened. The opened driver door stuck [VICTIM ], knocking her to the ground. There is damage to the vehicle’s driver door, white paint is visible. The garage door frame is white and was damaged at approximately the same height from the ground as the vehicle door damage. While [VICTIM ] was on the ground, Natalie grabbed a brick, got on top of [VICTIM ] and began striking her with the brick. [VICTIM ] was cut on the head and lost a tooth as a result. Natalie remained on top of [VICTIM ] and was scratching Natalie’s face. Resulting in cuts. Upon inspecting [VICTIM ]’s injuries, we uncovered multiple bite marks with bruising, skin damage, and clear teeth marks.Natalie reported the fight was started by [VICTIM ]. Natalie’s account of the incident is as follows. [VICTIM ] entered the garage while Natalie was seated in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. [VICTIM ] began attempting to pull Natalie out of the vehicle. Causing the vehicle to roll forward and strike a tree. The vehicle did not strike [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] pulled Natalie from the driver’s seat. Natalie was pulled on top of [VICTIM ], [VICTIM ] attempted to retrieve a nearby brick however Natalie retrieved it first and began striking [VICTIM ].It is notable that the 911 call was made by Natalie. The call notes state, the caller reported to the dispatcher that she struck the other party involved, [VICTIM ], with a car. This contradicts Natalie’s statement given during the interview.[WITNESS ] was seated in the vehicle that she and [VICTIM ] arrived in. [WITNESS ] said she saw the vehicle driven by Natalie strike the tree. [WITNESS ] was unsure why Natalie hit the tree. [WITNESS ] did not see what took place between Natalie and [VICTIM ] very well; however, she did know both of them were fighting. [WITNESS ] was inside of the residence at the time of the incident. [WITNESS ] said that [VICTIM ] started the fight. However, when [WITNESS ] arrived outside he reported seeing Natalie on top of [VICTIM ].The vehicle damaged a cooking grill when it struck the tree. There was blood on the brick that Natalie reported using to strike [VICTIM ].A list of [VICTIM ]’s injuries follows. Cut to her head along the scalp line. Cuts on her face that [VICTIM ] clams resulted from Natalie scratching her face, approximately 5 bite marks one of witch the skin was damaged, swelling to [VICTIM ]’s face, and a missing front tooth [VICTIM ] was transported to Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital by EMS personnel.Natalie had superficial scratch marks on her face which appeared to be bleeding.
