While on the way to the call, 911 advised that a female had possibly been hit by the vehicle and had left the scene. As I neared Windy Hill Court, the vehicle, driven by a male subject, had broken down in the area of the mobile park on Windy Hill Rd. As I approached in my patrol vehicle, he jumped a fence and fled into the pasture before I could exit my vehicle.Two units from the Jefferson Police Department had arrived on scene to assist. They went to locate the suspect while I gathered information. After conducting the investigation, and interviewing witnesses they were able to give me the name of the suspect. Jefferson P.D. Officers’ located him in the area behind the mobile park using their K-9 to track him. I advised them I would have charges. The suspect was brought to my location and later transported to the Jackson County jail. I completed an arrest affidavit for Aggravated Assault other pending charges.The victim suffered visible injury to her right knee, and had complaint of injury to her lower back and hip.
