On Friday October 4th, 2024
, I, Ofc. Shelton was dispatched to 2816 Watson Blvd. Waffle House, Centerville, Ga. The call was in reference to a unwanted person.
As I arrived on scene I made with Ofc. Hill who was out at 2835 Watson Blvd. Walgreens in Warner Robins, Ga. was made with Tevin Malakius who was wearing a yellow shirt with gray sweatpants with a shaved head which was the description given by the caller. Ofc. Hill placed Malakius in handcuffs behind his back while checking for fitment and double locking the handcuffs. Ofc. Hill placed Malakius into the back of his patrol vehicle and EMS also arrived on scene to check on Malakius.
After Malakius was secure Ofc. McBean and myself then went back to Waffle House to make with the employees that were on scene to see the damage done to the register. was made with the manager [WITNESS ] and her employees [WITNESS ], [VICTIM ], and [VICTIM ]. [WITNESS ] advised that the register was damaged and they now had to close down the resturant for th day due to not being able to process orders. Ofc. McBean took pictures of the damage to the register which was completely knocked off the counter and also the card reader that was mounted to the counter was also broken and pushed off the counter.
[WITNESS ] also advised that after Malakius knocked over the register that he then went and knocked over the sugar jars that were stocked on a nearby table and also began to throw mugs at [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] advised that Malakius threw coffee mugs at him and they busted near his feet and the shards had hit his leg but did not cut him. [VICTIM ] also advised that coffee mugs were thrown at her as well after she told Malakius to leave after Malakius yelled at [WITNESS ] and other customers. [VICTIM ] said that Malakius threw mugs at her as well and they landed near her feet area as well and the shards also hit her leg but did not cut her.
At this time Ofc. McBean and myself then returned to the other units and advised them of the damage that was done at Waffle House and Ofc. McBean took Malakius out of Ofc. Hill’s unit and placed him into the back of Unit 2208 to be transported to Houston County Detention Center.
Ofc. Hill and Myself the returned back to Waffle House and statement forms were given to [WITNESS ], [VICTIM ], and [VICTIM ] so they could be filled out and added to this report. [WITNESS ] also requested that a Criminal Trespass be issued to Malakius for this Waffle House Malakius was unable to sign due to being transported to the Detention Center but Ofc. McBean advised Malakius of the Trespass Order to which Malakius said he understood he was not allowed back on site of this location.
Ofc. Hill and myself then left Waffle House to go fill out the arrest booking sheet for Malakius and his charges were Damage to property (Felony), Simple Battery X2 (Misd.), and Disorderly Conduct (Misd.) these charges were then faxed to the Houston County Detention Center to be added. Since Ofc. Hill placed Malakius under arrest the warrants will be taken out by Ofc. Hill for this case.
