On Thursday, October 10th, 2024
, at approximately 2325 hours, I, Deputy Brown responded to [500 BLOCK] Pinecrest Road in reference to a physical domestic.
Arriving on scene, I made with [VICTIM ], the supposed victim. [VICTIM ] advised me he went to pick up his son (Jacob) from spending time with his friends. Noticing Jacob was obviously under the influence of alcohol, he took Jacob back to his mother’s residence ([500 BLOCK] Pinecrest Rd). During the event of getting Jacob inside of the residence. [VICTIM ] stated an argument ensued. Following the argument, [VICTIM ] stated Jacob swung on him by attempting to use his fist to hit him. [VICTIM ] stated he then forcibly dragged Jacob outside in the front yard and “put him to sleep.”
Observing Jacob lying on his back in the front yard, his motor skills seemed very unstable. He was lying flat on his back and being very belligerent. Walking over to Jacob, he was obviously under the influence of alcohol. His eyes were also glazed over and he could not maintain his attention. Asking Jacob if he was okay, Jacob was very sluggish and could not sit up straight. Awaiting for EMS to arrive on scene, I made with [VICTIM ] and began speaking with him about the outcome of tonight’s event.
[VICTIM ] stated Jacob was severely mental health and he needed help. I advised [VICTIM ] while observing Jacob’s current state and condition, he did not seem to be under control. I also advised [VICTIM ] that once EMS clear him medically, that he was going to be placed under arrest for simple assault family violence.
Once EMS and fire arrived on scene, they escorted Jacob to the ambulance to receive medical treatment. While on the ambulance, a verbal altercation ensued between Jacob and EMS personnel and in result, Jacob stated he did not need medical treatment. Once EMS cleared the scene, I placed Jacob under arrest for Simple Assault family violence. Jacob was placed in my patrol vehicle and the seatbelt was secured.
I then transported Jacob to the Houston County Detention Center for processing. Jacob was admitted without further incident. I then filled out all booking paperwork and a victim notification form was submitted for the case.
I then processed a warrant for simple assault family violence through the Magistrate Court.
A copy of the warrant will be added to the file.
