On September 25, 2024, I, Lt. Browning was dispatched to Custom Beverage on Golf course Road in the City limits of Tallapoosa, Ga. Dispatched stated that the caller stated that a male that was fired from the business had come in intoxicated waving a gun around. The caller stated that the male had left the scene in a red in color ford SUV.
I arrived on scene and was speaking to several people (employees) that was telling me what had happen. [VICTIM #1] stated that an employee (Patrick Kilnger) that had gotten fired had showed up intoxicated and had a gun with him. He stated that he called 911. While I was talking to them, they stated that was him that just went around the building. I then jumped in my vehicle and went around to the back side of the building.
I then made contact with a white male that was walking back from the dumper. I asked if he was Patrick? He stated that he was. I asked him if he had been drinking? he stated that he had. I could smell the order of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. I asked him if he was driving that vehicle just no? He stated that he was riding with a co worker name [REDACTED]. I then asked him if he was waving a gun inside a moment ago? He stated no. I advised him that was not what I was being told. I asked him if he had a gun? He stated yes. I asked him what was it. Hooper stand with Patrick so I could go inside and finish speaking with the people about the incident.
I then went in the building from the back side where the employees enter. While speaking to [VICTIM #1], [VICTIM #2], [VICTIM #3], [VICTIM #4], and [VICTIM #5], they all stated just about the same story. [VICTIM #5] said that he did not see the gun. All the other employees mentioned did see the gun. They stated that it was stain less steel and was a .22 cal gun. Mrs. [VICTIM #3] stated that he siad that it had hollow points in it. I then walked back outside to Sgt. j. Hooper and Patrick.
I then advised Patrick to places his hand on his head and not to move. I then took his hands and placed them behind his back and placed him into handcuffs. I advised him he was under arrest for assault. I then removed the firearm for his right back area, where the firearm was. It was inside his waist band in a hoister. The firearm was a small stainless steel .22 caliber like the victim/witnesses had stated. I had Sgt. J. Hooper transport Patrick to the Haralson County Jail for booking. I placed the firearm inside my unit and took it to enter has evidence. I then went back in with witness statement forms, and they were all filled out.
