I responded without lights or sirens in unit #524. Upon my arrival, I encountered [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2].[VICTIM #1] informed me that he was visiting a friend at [800 BLOCK] Painter Road. He stated that while he was outside smoking a cigarette, he was attacked by an individual named Kyle. According to [VICTIM #1], Kyle began to kick and strike him, claiming that he should not have approached him. [VICTIM #1] asserted that he was merely smoking when the assault commenced. He mentioned that he warned Kyle he would call the police, to which Kyle responded that he would assault him again if he did so. Additionally, [VICTIM #1] relayed that Kyle threatened to harm his girlfriend, [VICTIM #2], if they did not leave the area.[VICTIM #2] recounted that she was inside a camper when she heard commotion outside. She stated that her boyfriend, [VICTIM #1], was smoking a cigarette when Kyle attacked him. Upon witnessing the altercation, [VICTIM #2] intervened, instructing Kyle to stop and indicating that she would call the police. She reported that Kyle warned her that calling the police would exacerbate the situation and threatened to assault both her and [VICTIM #1] if they did not leave. Consequently, [VICTIM #2] managed to get [VICTIM #1] into the car and departed to call 911.I notified dispatch of my route to [800 BLOCK] Painter Road, the location of the incident. Upon my arrival, accompanied by Deputy J. Ledford #544 and Deputy S. Reeves #521, I spoke with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] claimed he did not know the individual who assaulted [VICTIM #1]. He stated that [VICTIM #1] had spat in the assailant’s face, which led to the subsequent beating. [WITNESS #1] was unable to provide any further details about the incident or the whereabouts of the individual, possibly named Kyle, whom [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] identified by first name.
