CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. – Houston Texans defensive back and former Georgia Bulldog Kamari Lassiter is giving back to his alma mater with a $4,000 donation to the University of Georgia Athletic Association. The contribution will help support student-athletes with tuition, room and board, fees, and other expenses.
Lassiter, the 42nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, expressed his gratitude for the impact UGA had on his career and personal growth. “This gift is my way of giving back to the university and the people who invested so much in me,” he said. “Georgia shaped me in ways I can never fully repay.”
UGA head coach Kirby Smart praised Lassiter’s generosity, saying, “We are grateful for Kamari’s commitment to the program. His family instilled in him strong values and a relentless work ethic.
