COBB COUNTY, Ga. – Teen Arrested After Snapchat Threat Prompts Lockdown at North Cobb Christian School
On March 31, 2025, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Acworth Police Officers responded to North Cobb Christian School, located at 4500 Eagle Drive in Acworth, Georgia, after receiving a tip from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding a Snapchat photo that included a threat of a school shooting. This information led to an immediate lockdown at the school as officers arrived.
Working swiftly with Cobb County Police and the school’s School Resource Officers, law enforcement identified a student suspected of making the threat. By 10:53 a.m., the suspect was taken into custody.
The individual, later identified as 17-year-old Ella Sever from Acworth, was transported to the Acworth Police Department for further questioning. After the interview, Sever was arrested and charged with:

Sever is currently being held at the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office without bond. The Acworth Police Department emphasized that any threats made on social media are taken very seriously, and urged parents to talk to their children about the serious consequences of making such threats.
