Police have arrested 40-year-old Michael Todd of Hoschton in connection with the shooting. He faces multiple charges, including malice murder, felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Officers responding to the scene discovered the victim, later identified as Donald Stewart, 43, of Commerce, suffering from a gunshot wound in the back parking lot. Investigators say Todd, Stewart’s employer, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Initial reports indicate the argument between the two escalated into gunfire.

While police have not disclosed the details of the dispute, they confirmed that neither individual worked at the McDonald's. A firearm was recovered at the scene, though investigators have yet to confirm if it was the weapon used in the shooting.
