On February 14, 2025, investigators, acting on intelligence from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), intercepted a marijuana shipment at a storage facility in Duluth, Georgia.
Law enforcement officials identified a suspect vehicle and arrested two individuals, Jian Yi Wu and Hieu M. Quach. Search warrants executed at the storage facility and a nearby hotel resulted in the seizure of 153 pounds of marijuana and more than $20,000 in cash.
Jian Yi Wu faces multiple charges, including possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. Hieu M. Quach has been charged with trafficking in marijuana. Both suspects remain in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail.
