On August 2, 2024, I was dispatched to [1000 BLOCK] Rowe Rd in reference to a family dispute.
Upon my arrival, I spoke to the caller who identified himself as [VICTIM #1]. I asked [VICTIM #1] what happened and he stated that he and his wife Kristina were arguing over her getting lost on the way to the airport. [VICTIM #1] stated that approximately three days ago he was at work and his wife called him and asked where she should park at the airport. [VICTIM #1] stated that he told her he did not know and stated that she got frustrated. He stated that he began to talk to Kristina regarding the incident and that they began to argue.
While speaking with [VICTIM #1], he stated that Kristina slapped him in the face and then threw a hairclip at him. I asked him which side she slapped him on and he could not specifically remember. [VICTIM #1] stated that once Kristina slapped him, his dog bit Kristina on the back of the leg. He stated that Kristina then grabbed the dog and threw him out of the front door. [VICTIM #1] stated that Kristina then asked what the code to the gun safe was and stated that she was going to put the dog down. He stated that he put his dog in a crate in the front yard and covered him with a blanket. [VICTIM #1] stated that Kristina then came outside and broke the dog cage. He stated that his dog got out of the crate and that he walked to the road. [VICTIM #1] stated that while he was at the end of the drive way he saw Kristina enter the shop. He stated that he heard a loud pop and observed Kristina leave the shop shortly after. [VICTIM #1] stated that he entered the shop and observed the back window of his Audi A4 (GA Tag [REDACTED]) busted out. He stated that he left the shop, walked to the end of the driveway and called 911.
I was then escorted by [VICTIM #1] to the shop where I observed a hole in the rear window of his vehicle. I did not observe an object in or around the vehicle that could have been used to break the rear window.
I then knocked on the front door of the residence and spoke to Kristina Torres. I asked Kristina what happened and she stated that she and [VICTIM #1] were arguing over him giving her the wrong directions to the airport. She stated that they were just arguing and that was it. I asked her how the back window of the vehicle became broken and she stated that she did not know. I asked her if she broke the rear window and she stated that she did not break the window. Kristina then stated that [VICTIM #1] broke the window to set her up and stated she never went into the shop.
I then spoke with [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] who are the sons of Kristina and [VICTIM #1]. I asked them what happened and they stated that Kristina and [VICTIM #1] were arguing over an incident that happened three days ago. They stated that Kristina then threw an object at [VICTIM #1] and that the dog bit her on the leg. They stated that Kristina then began asking for the code to the safe and stated that she was going to shoot the dog. I asked them if she broke the rear window and they stated that they did not know.
While at the residence, I noticed that there were cameras on the home. I asked [VICTIM #1] if he had access to the cameras and he stated yes. I asked him if would check the cameras to see if it showed Kristina in the shop. [VICTIM #1] checked the cameras but there was no footage.
I then spoke with Kristina again and asked her if she had been in the shop earlier. Kristina admitted that she went into the shop to look for [VICTIM #1]. I asked her if she noticed that the window was broken when she was in the shop and she stated no. Due to Kristina being seen entering the shop and the broken window, I placed Kristina under arrest for Criminal Damage. I placed my handcuffs on her and completed a search of her person. I placed her in the rear of my patrol vehicle. Kristina Torres was then transported to the Coweta County Jail where she was turned over to jail staff. [VICTIM #1] was given a case card with a case number at the scene.
