On July 14, 2024, I, D/S, Weber, was dispatched to [400 BLOCK] Lake Circle in reference to a family dispute.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated that her boyfriend, James Clark, and she got into a physical fight. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that James was drinking and began to argue with her while she was trying to pack her belongings leaving the residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that James jumped up and blocked her from leaving with the last of her belongings and swatted it out of her hands. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that James turned and grabbed her son’s college degree and threatened to rip it in half. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she feared for her well-being and backhanded James on the right side of his face. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she and James then got into a physical fight James pulled her hair and rolled on the ground. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had a small scrape on the middle of her back but refused EMS.
James stated that he tried to rip the college degree, and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] backhanded him for it. Then the two got into a fight and ended up on the ground, and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got on top of him and screamed in his face. James stated that once it was over, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] left and called the police.
James was placed under arrest and put in the rear of my patrol vehicle. James was then transported to the Coweta County Jail, where he was turned over to the jail staff.
