Discretion is advised.]On 4/24/3035 I Deputy McBrier responded to [90 BLOCK] Lake Circle in reference to an Aggravated Assault.When I arrived on scene I spoke to [WITNESS #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [WITNESS #1] said that her son Gregory Morgan had gotten into an argument and that he had been drinking. [WITNESS #1] said that Gregory got mad and was talking down to her. [WITNESS #1] said that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then told Gregory “don’t be talking to your mother like that. [WITNESS #1] said that Gregory got up and went to his bedroom and came back to the living room area. [WITNESS #1] stated that when Gregory came back that he had a .22 cal rifle in his hands and was swinging it around the room. [WITNESS #1] stated that Gregory then pointed the gun at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] face and said “get the fuk out”. [WITNESS #1] then said she told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to call 911. I talked to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and she said that she told Gregory to “stop talking to his mother like that”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that Gregory went back to his room and came back and pointed a gun in her face.. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that Gregory told her “to get out of his house”. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if she felt threatened or scared for her life and she said yes. I then went inside the house and Gregory was sitting on the couch and his brother [WITNESS #2] was sitting on the other couch. I asked Gregory if he was Gregory and he stated yes. I asked Gregory what happened tonight. Gregory said that he ran out of beer and was arguing with his mother. Gregory then said [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told him “don’t talk to your mother like that”. Gregory then said that he told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to get out of his house. Gregory said that his mother told him she didn’t have to leave. Gregory said he then went and got his gun and came back in the living room. Gregory said that he was swinging the gun around and told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] “get the fuk out of my house”. I then asked Gregory if he pointed the gun at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and he said yes. I then walked outside to get my Official Statement Forms for the witnesses to fill out. Deputy A. Wallace told me that Gregory said that he pointed the gun at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] face to scare her out of the house.Gregory was then placed in handcuffs and escorted to the back of my patrol car where he was patted down. Gregory’s phone was placed in an evidence bag and given to the jail to place in his property. Gregory’s wallet was left in his pants pocket.I handed out the Official Statement Forms and asked them to write down what happened tonight to the best of their ability. I asked [WITNESS #1] where the gun was and she said her gun was in the safe. The gun was retrieved from the safe by [WITNESS #1] and seized for evidence. The bullets were taken out of the gun due to it being loaded with one in the chamber. I decided to leave the bullets with [WITNESS #1] due to them being rimfire bullets and didnt want them to go off in the evidence room.Gregory was then transported to the Coweta County Detention Center and turned over to jail staff.[End of Narrative].
