On August 20, 2024, I was dispatched to Bells Ferry Rd/Eagle Dr in reference to a hit and run. Upon arrival, I met with the caller, [VICTIM #1]. I asked [VICTIM #1] what occurred. She stated she was in the left turn lane on Bells Ferry Rd waiting to turn left onto Eagle Dr. She stated the driver in the vehicle behind her began continuously honking at her because she wasn’t turning yet. She said when it was safe to turn she entered the intersection and heard more honking and said the vehicle crashed into the left side of her car. The suspect vehicle fled onto Eagle Dr and [VICTIM #1] pulled onto Eagle Dr and then into the Valero Gas Station. [VICTIM #1] stated a male pulled in with her and stated he witnessed the incident and provided her with his information. I ran [VICTIM #1] and her vehicle, 2016 Ford Focus (Wisconsin Tag# [REDACTED]) through GCIC. I asked if she wished to pursue charges against the other driver. She stated she did. I took photographs of the damage and provided her with a case card with a case number.
I called the witness, [WITNESS #1], and asked what occurred. He stated he was at Eagle Dr waiting to turn left onto Bells Ferry Rd when he heard honking. He stated he looked over and saw [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle enter the intersection and the vehicle came up next to [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle and swerved into her. [WITNESS #1] stated this was not an accident and it was intentional. I asked [WITNESS #1] for any information on the car or driver. He stated he thinks it was possibly black and thinks it was a Toyota Camry. He added that the driver was a white female with lighter colored hair like blondish or greyish and the female was probably in her 40s-50s.
I began checking Flock to find a suspect vehicle. I found that [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle passed the Eagle Dr @ Bells Ferry Rd EB Flock Camera at 7:44:21 a.m. I located a Toyota Camry (Tag# [REDACTED]) that appears to be dark grey in the Flock photograph pass the same camera at 7:43:47 a.m. I did not locate any other Toyota Camry’s pass through this camera within the time frame of when the accident occurred. I ran the Toyota Camry through GCIC and found it was registered to a male, [REDACTED], at [4700 BLOCK] Hickory Bend Dr NW. I spoke with Deputy Robles who was working in Oak Grove and asked if he could go by the address to see if the vehicle was on scene and attempt to make contact with someone. Deputy Robles stated the vehicle was not at the residence and did not make contact with anyone. I located a phone number for [REDACTED] and called it, but no one answered.
The photographs of [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle will be uploaded to the case report. The photographs of the Flock information will also be added to the case report. An accident report was also completed for this incident.
