On July 25, 2024
at or around 1220 hours I, Officer Johnson, responded to W. 36th st. near Jefferson St. to investigate a call for harassment.
While enroute to the above mentioned location, I located the Amazon van at W. 39th St. and Jefferson St. Upon my approach to the van, I spoke with the reporting party [REDACTED]. He stated that he had been being followed by a man on a bike. He gave a description of a black male wearing a gray tank top riding a blue or grey bike.
[REDACTED] stated the subject (Tyrell Wiggins) approached him while he was delivering packages at W. 39th St. and Jefferson St. He said Wiggins got out of his bike at the front of the truck, walked over to [REDACTED]s driver side of his van and asked if he had his packages. [REDACTED] said he informed Wiggins that he was unsure about any of the packages in his vehicles.
[REDACTED] said he then drove to the One Stop located at 2100 Montgomery St. He said shortly after parking at the store, Wiggins showed up there and this time went to the side of his van and attempted to enter the vehicle. [REDACTED] said he then left the store and drove to W. 39th St. and called the police. [REDACTED] also stated he was too shaken up to take photos of Wiggins.
After getting the description, I drove around the area and located [Wiggins] (who matched the description) sitting at the under cover at Wells park. As I made my way around the park, I witnessed Wiggins leaving the area. I conducted a stop and began speaking with him. While doing so the [REDACTED] drove to our location from W. 39th St. and made a positive identification of Wiggins. Lt. Henderson also confirmed Wiggins identification after looking at cameras placed at the park.
Wiggins was charged with Disorderly Conduct (O.C.G.A. 16-11-39.) He was placed under arrest and transported to CCDC.
[REDACTED] was given a CRN.
