On 9/14/24 at 1024 hours, I was patrolling the area of Highway 17 near Dean Forest Road, when I observed a white in color Hyundai Santa Fe traveling southbound in the inside with no tag displayed on the vehicle. While I attempted to catch up to the suspect vehicle, I noticed the vehicle making a right turn onto Silk Hope Road from Highway 17. At this time, I activated my lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop. At this time, the suspect vehicle failed to yield for my lights and sirens and began to flee from police on Silk Hope Road. At this time, I draw my service pistol, to the low ready position, giving verbal commands to the driver to exit the vehicle with their hands in the air. At this time, the driver of the vehicle exited from the front passenger side door. the driver of the vehicle was placed in hand cuffs, behind the back, sized to fit, double locked, and placed in the back of my patrol vehicle.
During my investigation, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Ms. Shiasia Brown.
