Discretion is advised.]On December 23, 2024at approximately 0349 hours, I responded to [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd in reference to a “shots heard” call. Call notes advised that 5 rounds were fired on Chevy Chase Rd. The call was made by an anonymous party.As I arrived on scene, a female identified as [VICTIM ] exited the front door of [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd. A resident of [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd was also outside advising that his wife was the one who called for [VICTIM ].When asked, [VICTIM ] stated that she knew who fired the gunshots and pointed to her face stating, “Do you not see my face?” [VICTIM ] was observed with two large bumps on her face, one on her forehead with a bloody wound and the other on her left cheek bone. Both of these injuries were photographed and uploaded to Evidence.com.[VICTIM ] advised that her “mate” of 15 years, whom she has children with, was the person that caused these injuries, indicating that this was a domestic altercation. [VICTIM ] identified this male as Robert Hodge. [VICTIM ] advised that she has been looking to move out of [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd, where her and Robert reside, for the past few months. [VICTIM ] has been looking at s in Macon, and had a scheduled viewing for a house in Macon, GA today (12/23/2024). [VICTIM ] advised that Robert believed things were going good between them, so when he found out she was still planning to view the house in Macon he became agitated.[VICTIM ] stated that her and Robert were returning from the Barrelhouse bar (125 W Congress St) when the physical altercation began. [VICTIM ] knew Robert was upset and intoxicated, so she sat in the back seat for the ride . While driving , Robert continuously yelled at [VICTIM ] about her planning on moving. At some point on the way , around 0330 hours, Robert stopped the car and got out to open the back door where [VICTIM ] was sitting. After opening the door, [VICTIM ] stated that Robert hit her approximately 4 times in the face with a closed fist. Robert then got back in the drivers seat and continued driving to [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd. [VICTIM ] stated that it was only her and Robert in the vehicle during the altercation.Once back at , [VICTIM ] stated that Robert continued to yell at her as she packed all of her belongings to leave the house. While in their bedroom behind a closed door, [VICTIM ] stated that Robert wrapped one hand around her throat, “choking” her and pinning her against the wall. By this point, [VICTIM ] told Robert that the police had been called, which led to Robert exiting out of the side door of the house and starting his car. [VICTIM ] stated that she heard his vehicle start, followed by the sound of approximately four gunshots. [VICTIM ] then looked out of the side window of the , and noticed Robert and his vehicle to be gone from the driveway. Officer Zabala located and collected shell casings from the driveway of [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd. Photos of where the casings were found were uploaded to Evidence.com[VICTIM ] provided me with the VIN of Robert’s black in color 2015 Dodge Durango. By running the provided VIN “[REDACTED]” through the Georgia Crime Information Ceneter (GCIC), I obtained the Georgia license plate “[REDACTED]” to be registered to this vehicle in Robert’s name. This vehicle was entered into FLOCK.Also on scene was [VICTIM ]’s 21 year old son, identified as [WITNESS ]. [WITNESS ] stated that he was in the shed behind [1400 BLOCK] Chevy Chase Rd when he heard a vehicle start followed by four gunshots. [WITNESS ] exited the shed thinking [VICTIM ] was the one who started the vehicle, at which point he observed the Dodge Durango to be gone from the driveway. [WITNESS ] then walked into the and found [VICTIM ] still inside, indicating the Robert was the one who left in the vehicle. [WITNESS ] provided no further information about the incident.When asked, [VICTIM ] stated that her 12, 15 and 19 year old children were all inside the during the yelling and strangulation that occurred, however [VICTIM ] advised that none of them witnessed or heard the altercation.A lethality form was completed.Sgt.
