On September 1, 2024
, at approximately 2000 hours, I responded to a hit-and-run collision that occurred at the intersection of MLK Jr Blvd and W Park Ave. Upon arrival, I met the reporting party at W 4Oth St and De Soto Ave.

Unit 2 was traveling southbound on MLK Jr Blvd and was rear-ended while making a left turn into W Park Ave. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to the right side of the rear bumper. Insurance exchange forms were provided to both parties.
Unit 1 was determined to be at fault for following too closely, as per OCGA 40-6-49. Additionally, Unit 1 was charged with DUI less safe alcohol, open container, and hit and run.
Unit 1 vehicle was towed away by Tims Towing.
