Discretion is advised.]On 2/4/2025, at 05:00, I was dispatched to a Hit and Run at SR 21/Bourne Ave. Sergeant Rodriguez and I (Officer Hernandez) responded and met with the complainant, [VICTIM ]. He stated that a white Chevy van hit his driver side rear of the trailer and that the van drove towards the Intown Suites. Corporal Sikes checked the area for the white van. He was able to locate the white van at the Circle K on 5520 Highway 21 Savannah, GA 31402. Once all applicable paperwork was provided to [VICTIM ], we met with Corporal Sikes.Corporal Sikes advised me the driver of the van was a Hispanic male named Jose Alvarez. Mr. Alvarez provided me with a Mexico ID but no passport or a valid driver license. Mr. Alvarez said that he didn’t noticed the semi- truck when he was changing lanes. Mr. Alvarez was placed under arrest for no valid driver license and other multiple traffic offenses. We spoke with Mr. [REDACTED] who is the owner of the Chevy van, he advised that one of his employees, [REDACTED] will take possession of the van. Mr. Alvarez was transported to Memorial Hospital for any injures, no injuries were recorded. Mr. Alvarez was transported to the county jail.[End of Narrative].
