On 08/17/2024
, at approximately 1817 hours, I was dispatched to a peeping Tom call for service.
Upon arrival, I made with [REDACTED]. Mr. [REDACTED] stated that he was accused of being inside the women’s bathroom as a minor used the restroom. Mr. [REDACTED] claimed that the family of the minor began verbally attacking him and then he was struck by one of the family member’s as he tried to deny the claims. Mr. [REDACTED] said that he had just arrived to the park minutes before this incident took place and at the time that he was accused, he was heading towards the lake area. Mr. [REDACTED] was adamant that he never entered the men’s or women’s bathroom.
I then made with [REDACTED] and her daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Ms. [REDACTED] explained that a family member walked her daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to the bathroom and waited outside of the bathroom. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] claimed as she used the facility, she heard a noise from the stall next to her and as she looked up, she observed a white male peeping over into her stall. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she screamed and that caused the male to flee the bathroom. The only description that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] could provide at the time was that the suspect had on a gray shirt. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] later changed her statement to the suspect had on long red sleeves.
Mr. [REDACTED] stated that he recalled seeing a white male whose behavior seemed a bit odd shortly before the family confronted him.
I was able to obtain video footage from the cameras near the entrances of the bathrooms, which proved that Mr. [REDACTED] was not the suspect.
In the video footage, the suspect can be seen pacing back and forth near the women’s bathroom while also exhibiting strange behaviors such as looking around as if he was trying to determine if anyone was approaching the area near the bathrooms. The suspect can be seen wearing glasses, a gray and red long sleeve shirt and blue shorts.
Both parties were given CRNs and my BWC was active. Video footage will be uploaded via Axon Capture.
