On August 21, 2024
at approximately 0120, I was dispatched to 1015 King George Blvd, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, I spoke with the complainant, [VICTIM ], who advised that she and her boyfriend, Darius Brown, had got into a physical altercation.
Ms. [VICTIM ] advised that when Mr. Brown arrived he was intoxicated. She said that he had been accusing her of cheating and had been acting irate. She advised that before he got to the apartment, she had locked the door so that he could not enter. She said that he then kicked the door open and started yelling at her. Ms. [VICTIM ] continued to explain that Mr. Brown then started forcefully pushing her around the apartment. She said that she was scared and was unaware if Mr. Brown had any firearms in the apartment.
Ms. [VICTIM ] advised that Mr. Brown had pushed her and she believes that this was where she possibly obtained the scratch on her face. Photos will be uploaded to AXON capture. She said that she was on the phone with her mother, [WITNESS ], while the fight was occurring. Ms. [VICTIM ] advised that Mr. Brown said that he was going to kill her and her parents. Ms. [WITNESS ] also advised that she had heard the comments that Mr. Brown had said.
While speaking with the victim, I could hear yelling and profanities coming from the top of the stairs from Mr. Brown. He continued to yell and scream profanities, despite officers advising him to calm down.
I informed Officer Lewis that we were going to arrest Mr. Brown. He was handcuffed, double locked, and walked down to my patrol car. While Mr. Brown was being ed, he advised that he did not have a gun, but if he did Ms. [VICTIM ] would have been dead. Mr. Brown was then placed in the rear of my patrol car.
Mr. Brown was transported to Memorial, where he denied treatment. Once medically cleared, Mr. Brown was transported to CCDC. While en route to the jail, Mr. Brown appeared to be calm and collective. Upon entering the jail, he became very disrespectful with the nurse. A deputy asked him to stand up, since he was refusing to listen. Mr. Brown did not stand up, until the deputy attempted to pull him out the chair. While the deputy was walking Mr. Brown to the cell, he became aggressive and started to yank away from the deputy. He was restrained by the deputy, and then placed in the cell.
Mr. Brown was charged with Battery (FV), Disorderly Conduct, and Terroristic Threats. Lethality form will be submitted to AXON capture.
