On 6/19/24 at approximatley 1100 hours I arrived at [200 BLOCK] Edgewater Rd #[REDACTED] and poke with the victim, [VICTIM ].
[VICTIM ] eye were red, crying and he looked to be upset and hurt. He stated that he was scared for his life. I observed scratch marks all over his face, chest, arms, neck and a mark on the right side of this rib cage. He advised the following.
He was sleeping in his room when all of a sudden the door was kicked in and two males came into the room. One male began to hit him and got his forearm around his neck while the other one began to hit him. During this forearm maneuver he began to lose consciousness. He was able to get the suspects forearm off his neck. The other suspect tried to pick up a car battery and raise it over his head to throw at [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] as able to get off the bed when the other male put his right hand around his neck. He escaped that as well after he pushed him off. This is when the other male had a big kitchen knife and tried to stab him in the right side. While the male attempted this he stated “we will kill you right now.” [VICTIM ] stated that he then kept the knife from not going in his side. Once he broke free this is when he ran out the door and saw the vehicle they came in.
He described the vehicle to be a green firebird with orange rims. He said one black male had a black hat. black shirt, and black pants. The other male just had on all black.
He said he was strangled for about 4-5 seconds. He did black out on the second strangulation. No difficulty breathing. No complaint to throat.
[VICTIM ] stated that there was a report taken earlier this morning for his girlfriend, [REDACTED], threatened to have her family come over and cause serious bodily harm to him. She was not on scene. Refer to CRN: 240619010 for further information.
He stated that one of the suspects names were possibly Christopher Simmons and they lived down the street from where the incident occurred. Croatan St. The vehicle was not there when Police drove by.
EMS was called and supervisor arrived on scene. Detective arrived on scene too.
He believed that the suspect took the knife. I did not see it in the room. There was blood and what looked to be a tussle in the room.
