When I arrived, I spoke to the victim, Mr. [VICTIM ].Mr. [VICTIM ] informed me that he got into an argument with his roommate, Brian Greene, at 1311 B Augusta Avenue. He explained that when he asked Mr. Green to leave his residence, Mr. Greene became aggressive and a verbal dispute turned into a physical altercation. He explained Mr. Greene strangled him and physically struck him in the back several times before fleeing the house. He explained that the strangulation continued for several minutes. He described the strangulation as a being in a chokehold, indicating he was strangled by the force of Mr. Greens arm from behind. Mr. [VICTIM ] indicated that he has been roommates with Mr. Green for about a month. He also advised that he drove to Fahm street in his vehicle, a red kia sedona.On the scene, when I was speaking to Mr. [VICTIM ], I observed blood inside his mouth. I also observed early bruising (indicated by red markings and yellowing of the skin) on his lower back on the right side. Patrol officers went to 1311 B Augusta Ave to attempt to locate Mr. Green, but they were unable to locate, the suspect Mr. Greene.Mr. [VICTIM ] received treatment on scene by Chatham EMS truck 9. He was then was transported to Candler Hospital for further treatment.My BWC was active. Patrol Sgt responded to the incident scene. CID responded to the hospital and took over the investigation.
