Discretion is advised.][NARRATIVE #1 on October 27, 2025]On Monday 10/27/25 Deputy M James was dispatched to the Dollar General Store at 2162 Catoosa Parkway for a sexual battery complaint.Upon arrival Deputy James met with the complainant/victim, who was the cashier clerk at the store. She related the following in summary; today at approximately 1619 hrs an older white male she identified as “a regular customer” was at the checkout where she was working and grabbed toward her vag*nal area, touching the area with his hand.She related she moved back and asked him “what he was doing”, he stated “I’m going to grab your p*ssy”. The victim then said the subject checked out and left the store and went to his silver in color pick up truck in the parking lot. The victim stated she had a customer get the plate number off the vehicle, which was Georgia handicap registration [REDACTED].There was in store video camera footage of the incident. Deputy James observed the video footage which showed a while older male with a gray goat-tee tall and slim build, wearing a white and black flannel, and a blue and white ball cap, and blue overalls. The footage showed the male suspect reach over the checkout area toward the victim with his hand and she backed off, the camera time showed 1619 hrs. There was no audio on the camera system.A license check on the registration plate came back to a male subject to the address of [900 BLOCK] Spivey Ln, Ringgold, GA. Detective Thompson arrived on scene and interviewed the victim, also observing the video footage. The victim wrote a written statement, regarding this incident. The victim stated she would like to press charges against the suspect.Detective Thompson, Corporal P Cheramie, and Deputy James observed a Silver Ford Pickup truck with the suspect registration at [1000 BLOCK] Spivey Ln. Deputy James made contact with a resident at that address who advised the suspect was present. The suspect came outside through the front door and did advise he was at the Dollar General Store earlier today. The suspect was advised there are charges for sexual battery against him. He was placed under arrest for said charges.Corporal Cheramie handcuffed the suspect (to the rear, checked for fit, and double locked the handcuffs), due to health issues the suspect was eventually handcuffed to the front (checked for fit and double locked). The suspect was escorted to the rear passenger seat of the squad car and sat in the rear seat, and seat belted in.Detective Thompson mirandized the suspect, who did wish to speak to Detective Thompson. The suspect was transported to the Catoosa County Jail. The rear seat of the squad car was checked before the suspect was placed in the the back and after, with nothing illegal found. The suspect was booked into the jail with the charges of Sexual Battery.
