Deputy Brock responded to [50 BLOCK] Pollard Road, Ringgold, GA 30736. In reference to animal control being out with the listed offender. Deputy Brock arrived on scene and met with Officers Trusley and Stephenson with the Catoosa County animal control. The animal control officers advised Deputy Brock that the dog had been poisoned by peroxide and was laying on the ground dying when they arrived on scene. Deputy Brock walked to where the dog was located and saw it laying on the trampoline, gasping for air with ants crawling all over it. Deputy Brock walked over and spoke with the listed witness on this case. The listed witness advised Deputy Brock that the dog had been laying there dying since the day prior, April 29th. Deputy Brock asked the offender why she let the dog sit there and die for over a day. The offender advised Deputy Brock that she could not afford the vet bills so she just left it there. Deputy Brock was not able to prove if the offender was the one who poisoned the dog, though, she did admit to her negligent actions resulting in a high probability of the dogs death.Let it be noted the offender had multiple dogs, all of the other dogs had a water source as well as access to food. The dog that was poisoned did not. Deputy Brock placed the offender under arrest. The offender was cuffed in the rear, palms facing out. The cuffs were checked for fit and double locked. Deputy Brock ed the offender for contraband, incident to arrest with none being found.Let it be notated that the offender advised multiple times that the dog did not belong to her. Though, the animal control officers advised Deputy Brock that they have been out to the incident location multiple times and the dog was there every time. As well as the offender had possession of the dog for over three days which legally makes it hers.Deputy Brock placed the offender in the rear cab of his patrol car and fastened him in. Deputy Brock transported the offender to the detention center and turned her over to the detention staff with no problems. The rear cab of Deputy Brock’s patrol car was ed for contraband prior to as well as after the transport with none being found.Deputy Brock will be requesting warrants on the offender at this time.[End of Narrative].
