We continued to receive updates from the caller, who was following the dispute. The caller stated that the vehicle hit the male at the Chevron on Old Newnan Road and Burns Road. The caller continued to follow the dispute and updated dispatch that they were on Dixie Street, and that the driver of the Nissan was a Hispanic female, and that the vehicle made with the moped again on Dixie Street at Ambulance Drive. The caller again updated dispatch and stated they were stopped in front of Adamson Avenue. Dispatch was able to advise responding units that the caller’s phone was showing on Adamson Drive, off of Adamson Avenue. I arrived in front of [100 BLOCK] Adamson Drive at 1405 hours, and made with the male and female.I first spoke to the female, who was sitting in front of the door inside of the car port. I asked her what happened. She advised me that she did not speak English. I then asked for her driver’s license, which she advised me that she did not have one. She did hand me a piece of mail with her name and address on it. She was able to tell me that she lived at the house we were at ([100 BLOCK] Adamson Drive). She also pointed to the car, and stated that it was both her car and her boyfriends. The information on the mail identified her as Sharon Nicole Moreno Vera. Sharon then used her phone to translate what she was trying to convey. Through the translator app on her phone, Sharon stated that she did not want any more problems and that she has gone to jail because of her boyfriend in the past. She also admitted via the translator app that she had taken her boyfriend’s phone from him during the argument. I gathered the rest of Sharon’s information and then went and spoke to the witnesses, who were standing by with Ofc. Carroll 53.The witnesses were identified as [WITNESS ] and [WITNESS ]. Ofc. Carroll advised me that both witnesses advised they saw Sharon hit the male with the vehicle intentionally at the Chevron gas station on Old Newnan Road at it’s intersection with Burns Road. I asked [WITNESS ], that from his perspective, did it look like the act was intentional. He stated that when he first saw the dispute, the Nissan was on top of the moped. He advised that when Sharon backed off of the moped, the boyfriend went to pick it up. [WITNESS ] advised that as he went to pick up the moped, Sharon accelerated forward to hit the moped and the boyfriend again, making with both. [WITNESS ] stated that he did not know if Sharon was trying to hit the boyfriend or the moped, but that the boyfriend was so close to the moped, he stated that she had to have known she was going to make with both.I then spoke to the boyfriend/victim, [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] advised that Sharon was his girlfriend, and that they had been living together for approximately 6 to 7 months. [VICTIM ] advised that Sharon had his phone and that he wanted it back. The phone was a Samsung Galaxy A356 worth approximately $300. Ofc. Carnes 35 had already interviewed [VICTIM ]. Ofc. Carnes advised me that [VICTIM ] had confirmed that Sharon did hit him with the Nissan. I observed what appeared to be dirty scuff marks on [VICTIM ]’s lower right pants leg, consistent with his story. I asked [VICTIM ] if he wished to prosecute, and he stated yes.I then advised Sharon that she was under arrest. She was placed in handcuffs to the rear, double locked, and checked for proper fit. She was transported to the Carroll County Jail for processing without incident. It should be noted that while Sharon was being placed under arrest, Sharon had been in possession of [VICTIM ]’s phone throughout the entire interaction with police. While at the jail, I was able to get a Spanish speaking officer to explain to Sharon why she was being arrested. After speaking with Sharon, the officer advised me that Sharon stated she caught [VICTIM ] bringing another woman inside of their .
