On 06/30/2024
, at approximately 1922 hours, I patrolled the City of Carrollton in my black and white marked with reflective “POLICE” lettering cruiser. Dispatch came over the radio advising a white male with brown shorts and long hair on a bicycle was throwing things and cussing at the complainant in her vehicle. While almost on science, dispatch advised the male had fled into the woods.
Upon arrival, I parked and briefly spoke with the complainant, [VICTIM ]. I asked her where he went, and she pointed into the woods. I began ing the woods all the way to Bennett Circle. I then remembered there was an old barn in the woods closer to Newnan Road. Upon making it to the barn, I observed a white male matching the description who I know to be Joseph Sconyers. I informed him that I needed to talk with him. Before I even said why I wanted to talk with him, he began stating that he did nothing to the car of people franticly. I told him, lets walk out of the woods and relocate to my car.
Once out of the woods, I asked him what happened, and he informed me that he was being followed by the car and threatened. Joseph said he told the god was good, then went into the woods because he was scared. I then relocated to the complainant, [VICTIM ], and asked her what happened. [VICTIM ] informed me they were driving, and the male was screaming as she went by, so she turned around to make sure he was okay. Once turned around, Joseph began throwing a torch lighter and a stick at the car. [VICTIM ] said that due to her family occupying her vehicle, she drove away and parked at the Eagle Cliff Apartments. [VICTIM ] said Joseph followed her and was screaming and cursing at her, saying he would shoot her.
Due to the fact, Joseph fled into the woods and concealed himself and once he saw a uniformed patrolman and imediately began trying to say he didn’t mess with the car even though he hadn’t been questioned on it I placed him under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and violence towards others. Joseph was handcuffed with his palms facing outward, and the cuffs were checked for proper fit and double locked.
Joseph was escorted to the Carroll County Jail and turned over to the jail staff.
