at approximately 23:15 hrs, Deputy Varner and I were dispatched to [4700 BLOCK] River Rd lot [REDACTED] in reference to an assault. Deputies responded to this residence earlier in the night as detailed in Incident Report 02455218. Upon arrival, we activated our department-issued body cameras. Deputy Varner made with [VICTIM ] at lot [Report], and Dep. Johnson made with [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ] at lot [REDACTED].
Both [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ] stated that David Taylor brought [VICTIM ] into the RV of lot [REDACTED] and started beating her and throwing her around. Both stated that he then took a kitchen knife from the counter, held it to [VICTIM ]’s throat, and stated, “I’ll fu*king kill you.” Both also stated that Taylor then punched [VICTIM ] in the face. I observed a small amount of swelling on [VICTIM ]’s left side of his face, however, the swelling was not enough to show up on the photograph. There was also a broken lamp in the RV, and both stated that the lamp was damaged by Taylor. [VICTIM ] stated the lamp was valued at $85.00. Photographs were taken of a yellow kitchen knife, the lamp, and the living room area, which was in disarray. [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ] both completed written statement forms. Both [VICTIM ] and [VICTIM ] stated they would like to prosecute.
Deputy Varner stated that [VICTIM ]’s injuries appeared more severe than from the previous incident (case number 2024
55218). He took photographs of her injuries. Deputy Varner told me that [VICTIM ] stated that Taylor became angry and began hitting her and messed up the place at the neighboring RV, lot [REDACTED].
David Taylor was placed in handcuffs behind the back which were then double locked and checked for fit. Taylor was placed in the rear of the patrol car and transported to the Burke County Detention Center. We checked the rear seat of the patrol car after transport for any drugs or weapons that could have been left by Taylor. Warrants are pending for O.C.G.A 16-5-23.1 (fv) Battery, O.C.G.A 16-7-21(a) Criminal Tresspass, and O.C.G.A 16-5-21(a) Aggravated Assault.
All relevant photographs and written statement forms are attached to this report and CID Captain Kelly was notified of these incidents.
