On 9/23/24 at approximately 0328 hours I responded to [40 BLOCK] Birch Rd in reference to a domestic with physical violence. While in route I was advised by dispatch the offender w/m named Trevor Roberts was no longer on scene, where abouts unknown at this time.
Upon my arrival I was met in the yard by the complainant / witness w/f named [VICTIM ]. As I exited my vehicle I could see the victims being the Mr Roberts girlfriend, w/f named [VICTIM ] and Mr Roberts mother w/f named [VICTIM ] were sitting on the front porch. From the front yard, before entering the porch I could see Ms [VICTIM ] had a large goose egg knot on the left side of her forehead and a dark purple bruise on her left shoulder that I leaned was from being bit.
I entered the porch and it was there I was advised by Ms [VICTIM ] she and Mr Roberts and their [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were laying in the bed. She stated her other two children [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were laying in the floor mat which was being used as their bed. She then advised me with no reason or warning Trevor attacked her. She stated he hit her in the head and bit her on the shoulder.
Seeing the marks and hearing her statement I went to get my phone so I could get pictures before EMS arrived so I would not hender EMS when they are administering first-aid. While getting the pictures, Mr Roberts mother, Ms [VICTIM ] advised me Trevor also attacked her because she was standing between Trevor and Ms [VICTIM ]. She showed me an injury to her right foot that I could see and advised me she also believed he broke or twisted her ankle to the point she thought it was broken. I took pictures of her foot which was a small cut to the side of her big toe.
It was around this time EMS arrived so I stepped out to to my vehicle to write down everyone’s information for the report. After getting the information wrote down I went back to the house and had Ms [VICTIM ] write down the names and dates of birth of the children that witnessed this incident so they could be entered as victims in the report. While obtaining the kids information informed Ms [VICTIM ] of her option to a battered woman’s shelter if she did not feel safe staying at the residence due to Mr Roberts where abouts not being known. She acknowledged she understood and would reach out to a shelter if she felt the need to.
After that I cleared from the address on Birch Rd and drove around the area to see if I could locate Mr Roberts but did not see him. After doing a quick of the area I pulled up next to Hwy 301, out of sight and blacked out by turning out all of my lights. While there I began typing the report and warrant application. At approximately 0545 a vehicle pulled out of the trailer park which is where the Birch Rd address is located. This vehicle turned off it’s lights and pulled up next to me. I did not know who this person was but he advised me the people that was living at lot [REDACTED] Blue Spruce had been evicted and weren’t nobody suppose to be in that house. He then advised me he saw Trevor Roberts go into that house and he then saw me and the EMT unit pull in and stopped at the house Trevor lives in. He stated seeing that he figured I was looking for Trevor and if I were looking for him Trevor was still in that house.
I called deputy Jordan Melton to meet me at the location where I had been sitting blacked out. Upon his arrival I asked him to pull around and cover the back door while I went to the front. We then merged onto lot number [REDACTED] and when I made it to the front door I could the door had been jimmied open so much it would no longer latch closed. I did knock a few times and nobody came to the door not did the yell out to acknowledge my being there. After a few times of knocking I heard someone moving around in a house that nobody was suppose to be it. I pulled on the door and it freely came open due to the damage of other breaking into the house.
When the door came open I saw Trevor Guage Roberts sitting in the living room that was vacant and without furniture. I advised Trevor to put his hands behind his back, then secured him in cuffs and advised him he was being arrested for the battery he committed on his mother and his girlfriend. Trevor was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Brantley county jail. He was turned over to be processed on two battery family violence charges and three cruelty to children charges. The pictures taken on scene were uploaded to the original report and warrant application were submitted to the magistrate.
