Discretion is advised.]When I was handling incident 25-09-008093, I went to talk to the victim in this case about what she witnessed with regard to her former daughter in law [VICTIM #1] being strangled by the offender. The victim stated that she did see him strangled [VICTIM #1] in a chair in the livingroom on that sunday afternoon. She said that she was telling him to stop it. She indicated that she was afraid of her son, because she asked me not tell that she said it.This conversation led to me asking her about why wasn’t she wasn’t in attendance at her grandson’s memorial service on the day before (Sat. Sept. 20). She said that she would tell me as long as I did not tell anyone what she was about to divulge. I told her that I agreed to that. She stated that “he choked me out too (to that effect) on friday”. She then said that she had bruises on her neck from him grabbing her around the neck, and she didn’t attend the service because she didn’t want anyone to see those bruises.On Sept. 22, 2025, the offender was arrested on his probation warrant and the charges for the assault on Ms. [VICTIM #1].On Sept. 23, 2025, this victim contacted me, requesting I call her when I went back on duty. On Sept 24, I called her. She stated that she has moved to Lyons, Ga. and she wants to press charges on the offender for what he did to her.I asked some questions about specifics. She said that she said that [REDACTED] was in the home when this happened, but she was in the bedroom, not the livingroom. The victim said that the offender got mad at her because she had not told him sooner that Ms. [VICTIM #1] and [REDACTED] had the ash remains of [REDACTED]. The victim said that it happened during the same time that he was texting and harassing [VICTIM #1] about the ashes. The victim said that she was sitting in her recliner and when he got mad at her, he just grabbed her by her neck and squeezed.I told her that I would apply for a warrant, and she would get some correspondence from the DA office at some point.Her address on the date of this offense was the incident location. She has since moved to [100 BLOCK] N. Washington Sr. Lyons Ga 30436.[End of Narrative].
