On the stated date and time I was dispatched to the residence of [100 BLOCK] Bob White Loop, Hortense, Brantley County Georgia in reference to a domestic dispute that had taken place. When I arrived I spoke with one of the male parties involved Dennis Raulerson) who stated that his nephew Shawn Crawford had jumped on him and beat him up. Dennis stated that he gets xanax every month and shawn takes some of them. Dennis stated that this month he didn’t want to give shawn any more and that shawn became angry and they started arguing.
Dennis stated that he was going to leave and asked Shawn to give him a knife back that was his. Dennis then stated that when Shawn gave him the knife while they were arguing the knife was thrown through a window in the causing a broken window. I informed Dennis that I was going to talk to Shawn and advised him to be checked out by EMS because he had a visible mark on his neck.
WHen I spoke to Shawn he stated that Dennis and him have had problems with each other for a while and that it just got out of hand today. Shawn stated that they began arguing over money and that Dennis stated to Shawn he was going to leave and asked Shawn to get him a knife and that when Shawn gave him the knife, Dennis threw it through the window of the . Shawn stated that Dennis then pushed him and they began to fight on the floor of the . SHawn had no visible marks.
I then spoke with [WITNESS ] and she stated that the argument began over xanax and money and that it quickly escalated in a fight.
Due to not being able to identify who the predominate aggressor, both parties were arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Brantely County Jail.
