On today’s date September 28, 2024
, around 1606 hrs., I received a call to respond to [200 BLOCK] Crosby Ln., in reference to a verbal domestic. Dispatch advised the complainant stated that her brother was on the property refusing to leave. Upon arrival I met with the supposed offender [REDACTED] along with his father (owner of the residence) [WITNESS ]. Sgt. John Watson arrived on scene to assist.
[REDACTED] stated that he came over to see his father, [WITNESS ]. He then stated that before he enters the residence, he always knocks on the door like he did today. He then stated that his sister Candy Griffin began to holler/cuss at him telling him that he did not have permission to be there along with stating to him that he needed to knock on the door. [WITNESS ] then stated that his son [REDACTED] did knock even though he tells him every time he does not need to knock. Candy then came outside the residence.
When Candy stepped on the porch she was hollering/cussing telling me that [REDACTED] did not knock on the door. I then tried to explain to her that since her father owns the residence her brother has every right to be there as long as their father says its ok. She then became more upset telling me she owns the residence. She then stepped back inside the residence.
As we were all still outside talking you could hear Candy from inside the residence stomping her feet from one end to the other along with still continuing to holler/cuss. Their father [WITNESS ] spoke up stating this is an everyday occurrence with her. Candy then stepped back outside still continuing to holler/cuss.
I stopped Candy before she could continue on telling her to come off the porch into the yard. When she did, I stated to her that if she did not calm down, she would go to jail. At that point she stated to me “I don’t give a fu*k”. At that point she was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. I then transported Candy to the jail. Upon arrival at the jail, she was released to the on duty jail staff without incident receiving a citation for Disorderly Conduct.
