On today’s date October 11, 2024
, around 1301 hrs., I received a call to respond to [200 BLOCK] Crosby Ln., in reference to a verbal domestic. Upon arrival I spoke with the complainant/victim [VICTIM ]. [VICTIM ] stated that he had just arrived from picking up his [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to watch him for a while. He stated that when they both walked inside his daughter Candy Goswick (Griffin) started hollering stating that she was not going to baby sit him. [VICTIM ] stated that he told her that she did not have to that he was going to watch him. He stated at that point Candy started hollering/cussing. While I was talking to [VICTIM ] I could hear Candy inside the house hollering. [VICTIM ] stated that if he didn’t want her to go to jail that he just wanted her to calm down.
I then walked on the porch standing at the door telling Candy to come talk to me. When she stepped to the door, I asked what was going on, and she stated nothing that she was sitting on the couch watching tv. When asked about her hollering she stated that she was not going to baby sit today. I then stated to her that her father [VICTIM ] did not ask her to baby sit that he would watch his [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Candy then stated that they could both stay outside. I then stated to her that the residence did not belong to her that if her father wanted to come inside he could. I then stated to her that she could either calm down or she would be going back to jail. She then walked away from me sitting back on the couch.
I then stepped in the doorway asking her was she going to calm down. She then stated that she would not be calming down. At that point I walked over to the couch placing her in handcuffs. I stated to her that she was under arrest for disorderly conduct. While I was walking her to my patrol vehicle she began hollering/cussing at her father as we walked by him. I then transported Candy to the jail. Upon arrival at the jail, she was released to the on-duty jail staff receiving a citation for disorderly conduct.
